Some of you may be wondering what our daily life is like in Israel … what do we do with our time?  Our lives are like a smorgasbord in that each day we are privileged to feast on the goodness of the Lord in many different ways.  From time to time we are blessed to host pastors who come to the Land, some who have come here for the first time.  Almost everything Dan and I do is connected with discipling/mentoring, and sharing our hearts with Christian leaders is part of this.  We get to share with them the awe and wonder of what God is doing in these last days amongst the Jewish believers in Yeshua and the miracles of fulfilled prophecies.  Often we connect them with the various ministries who are part of the family of Tikkun International in the Land.  We explain the vision we have of cooperative unity in the Land and our joint strategy of reaching Israel and the nations.  Also, we explain the foundational value of Tikkun, which is relationships formed over many years, people who have covenanted together for God’s end time purposes.  Tikkun's leadership team is made up of many peers who have walked together for over thirty years.
The best part is when we witness the vision being caught in the hearts of many of the pastors who come here.  It is critically important for Christian leaders to make friendships with Messianic Jewish leaders in Israel, as these bonds of friendship put heart into their prayers for Israel during future times of trouble.

As part of our demonstration of cooperative unity, about every eighteen months we hold a joint conference/tour with Ohalei Rachamim, Revive Israel and Restoration from Zion, all ministries that are served by Tikkun.  This tour is perhaps the most unique that takes place in Israel today.  The tour group of around one hundred to one hundred and fifty participants from around the world, many of whom are regular supporters of these ministries, travel from ministry to ministry and hear from the leaders of those works.  They get a chance to see what fruit is being produced through these ministries, to hear what God is speaking to the Jewish believers in the Land and to Israel and the nations.  Plus, they get to travel to the various historical sites with several of the Messianic leaders.  God’s plans and purposes for Israel come alive.  Many have said that this tour is the best tour they have ever been on.  And, lasting friendships are made between the members of the tour and the believers in the Land.
Another highlight for Dan and I is having the privilege to be part of the leadership team as elders at Ahavat Yeshua.  This past month the elders and wives, plus the congregational deacons and wives, gathered together for a day of fun and relationship building, ending with a strategy-planning meeting.  We started out having breakfast together at a quaint café on a Kibbutz.  We then visited one of the many wineries in Israel and learned about the art of growing quality grapes.  The spiritual applications of pruning and caring for the vines were endless. We ended the day with a planning meeting and – in keeping with Asher and Eddie’s desire to keep an indigenous Israeli culture – the meeting was all in Hebrew.  We were blown away by the maturity that made up the team of deacons and wives, eight in all.  To hear them articulate the principles we so value so blessed us.  By God’s grace Dan and I seemed to be able understand most of what went on.  Dan even was able to give godly wisdom to this younger generation in Hebrew!  I am so proud of him.
Our hope is that as we continue to meet with each young leader individually to empower, envision and to equip using our English, they will then take the principles they have learned and internalized and convey them in Hebrew to the others.  We see this beginning to happen!
Finally, part of our ministry – a growing part of it in these days – is to serve, impart, encourage and empower our children and grandchildren in the Land.  We are so blessed to have our whole family in Israel by July 14!  Sometimes we as ministers of the gospel forget that our primary ministry is our family.  The investment we make in the lives of our children and grandchildren will yield the highest return.  Hence, we hang out with them and share about God as we walk along, as we rise up and as we play.  We have already witnessed a “standing on our shoulders” dimension in our children's ability in leadership capacity.  Our cup overflows!
Thank you for your love and support.  You are so very special to us!
