Greetings from Jerusalem.
SOMETHING ABOUT THE 70th YEAR
It is no secret that God thinks dates and times are important. Many, if not all, of the Spring Feasts of the Lord have had their fulfillment during the times of Yeshua on the exact day of the Feasts. To take two examples, the feasts of Passover/Firstfruits by the crucifixion and resurrection of Yeshua, and the festival of Shavuot (the giving of the Law) by the outpouring of the Spirit in the book of Acts, demonstrate this.
Biblical years of judgment are number specific and are significant as seen in the forty years the Israelites wandered in the desert because of their rebellion, one year for every day the spies explored the land of Caanan (Numbers 14:34). Another instance is the period of seventy years exile in Babylon: one year for every year Israel failed to give the land its Sabbatical rest (2 Chronicles 36:21; Jeremiah 25:11; 29:10-11; Daniel 9:2). So, many prophetic voices are raised today to prophesy the significance of this 70th year of the modern state of Israel. Even President Trump, perhaps inadvertently, has caught the implications of this year and decided to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing that indeed Jerusalem is the capital of Israel!
Now, I am going to jump on the bandwagon and remark how this year was the year of the greatest advancement for unifying Tikkun International and Tikkun Israel within the related ministries in the Land. It was as if there were blockages that were moved out of the way for such a time as this. Also, an interesting observation that may not have anything to do with this season of the 70th year, but all our fruit trees are bearing fruit. This is the first time since we planted them twelve years ago that all our trees are bearing fruit in the same year!! I have waited so long for this. It's too bad that we will be in the States during some of the time when they become ripe. You know the saying, some plant, some water, and others (in this case, our children) reap where they have not sown.
