"For there will never cease to be poor in the land.
Therefore, I command you, 'You shall open wide
your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the
poor, in your land." (Deuteronomy 15:11)

Every winter we try hard to direct all of our efforts, supplies and financial resources to serve the new immigrants and make them feel warmer in the wintertime, in Israel.

Our winters may not be so cold outside, but they are very chilly inside the apartments due to the fact that in the Haifa area there are no built-in heaters in the apartments and it can get very cold inside.

Wintertime is a perfect opportunity to meet a big need for those people.

Over the past two months, with your help and financial support that has been raised, we purchased new blankets and heaters for seniors and for families with small children. Our volunteers delivered the heaters to people's homes and many of them came to our warehouse to pick up new blankets for their families.

The "Warm Winter" project is almost over, and we are preparing ourselves for the next projects. The list of new immigrants - Jewish families that are coming back to their homeland - is growing every day and so is their need for basic home necessities and supplies. Our next step is to provide these families with household items such as pots, pans, blankets, bedding, linens and kettles. We also want to serve them with food packages as we try to do this ministry on a monthly basis.

The year 2017 was a challenging year, so we want to invite you to serve those families together with us and make their landing in their new home smoother. By doing this we follow the commandment of the Messiah to serve the needy and to reveal His love to all.

"For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore, I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.'" (Deuteronomy 15:11)
