Yonas Belay
Yonas Belay lives in Jerusalem with his wife and four children. He served as a border patrol officer for almost 20 years, including command roles during some of the most difficult terrorist seasons in Israel's history.
Today, Yonas serves as a pastor at Ahavat Yeshua in downtown Jerusalem. He also leads “Project Yonah,” a community-based initiative focused on restoring, mentoring, and empowering families of new immigrants.
In both arenas, God has placed on Yonas’ heart a Nehemiah vision — restoration and rebuilding. Yonas and his wife are strengthening families within the Body of Messiah and the Jerusalem community as a foundation for spiritual, social, and communal resilience, ultimately resulting in spiritual awakening in the Holy Land.
This vision cannot be fulfilled alone — it requires the cooperation, support, and prayers of brothers and sisters. Together, we can bring true resilience and restoration to the core family of many families, help them overcome crises, and build a strong and healthy future throughout the Land of Israel.
